Los Angeles -- Controller Ron Galperin today released the City's annual revenue forecast. The report highlighted modest increases in City revenues that aren't keeping up with increases in City spending -- and the need to exercise caution in new spending both for the current fiscal year and for the Mayor's soon-to-be proposed budget for 2017-18.

Los Angeles – City Controller Ron Galperin released an audit today entitled ‘Income-Restricted Affordable Housing Units in Los Angeles: A Review of the City’s Density Bonus Incentives and Overall Oversight’.The review found density bonus incentives have had minimal impact in incentivizing private developers to include affordable housing in their projects. The audit also highlights the lack of adequate tools to ensure income-restricted units are best going only to those who qualify.Read more

Los Angeles — Controller Ron Galperin unveiled a new parking website that explains LA’s parking ticket program. The online report shows the City generated close to $148 million in gross ticket revenues in the last year -- but some ¾ of ticket revenue went to overhead, salaries and administrative costs. The remaining $41 million was transferred to the City’s General Fund to help pay for City services such as police and fire.Read more
